About

Living in the north of England, I get to enjoy its beauty via work and play.

As a Senior Lecturer in the Institute of Education at the University of Cumbria, I work with primary schools in the Eden, Lune and Lakes areas as part of our teacher training mandate.

In my spare time, I am out with friends and/or my camera, up hill and down dale exploring fells and rivers.

I enjoy observing the landscape and how natural and man made history has crafted the views I see today. Meeting people also brings a novel slant to a day’s outing and I invariably come home with a different perspective on something – not always walking related!

I write to celebrate and share the joy of being out and about with friends, old and new, who enrich my life at every turn.
